Living with Keratoconus

leave a comment »

This is rather simple. I have Keratoconus (KC), a degenerative disorder of the eye in which structural changes within the cornea cause it to thin and change it to a more conical shape than its normal gradual curve. This generally causes substantial distortion of vision, with multiple images. I have this condition in both eyes and I’ve lived with it for last 10 years or so. Now it has progressed to such level that I need both of my corneas transplanted. This particular blog was created in 2005 to document KC related issues in my life, but got discontinued. With an impending transplant I am now reviving this blog with the very original purpose.
